Johann Banta

1. What do you create?

I do graphic design and illustration. I am learning to create clothing too.

2. What’s a story that led you to be passionate about design?

I thought I wanted to do computer science but I was more interested in the design side of things. That brought me through a journey from game development, web development, UI/UX design, graphic design, and finally, illustration & art.

3. How do you stay motivated?

I CONSTANTLY collect inspiration and keep an open mind to learning.

4. What advice would you give to someone who isn’t sure if they want to pursue a design path?

Just try it. Recreate or remix a design that you already like. If you enjoyed it, keep doing it. Make creative friends - the community is very supportive.
